Early 1940's Dodge Army Truck
Army truck left in Holland by the Canadian Army after the end of the war. A Netherlands municipality bought it for the village fire-brigade directly after the war. Was converted to a fire truck. After it gave service for many years it was sold. Village has purchased it back and hopes are for restoration. From previous paperwork an engineering number indicating 110 inch wheel base it may be possible the truck was built at the Windsor, Ontario Canada Truck Plant. During that period most only army trucks were built. Location of a serial number may bring more information. After a restoration is completed hope to be able to add a new picture to my list of Dodge Truck. |
